PISS BREASTS
40x20x20 cm, resin, polystyrene, plastic, urine, magnifying glass, 2024
Piss Breasts critiques the fetishization and commodification of the female body through materials that oscillate between intimacy and preservation. Urine functions as both a bodily offering and a source of discomfort, while resin freezes and objectifies what is meant to be ephemeral. Together, they expose the tension between vulnerability and consumption. The inclusion of Shrinky Dinks, distorted through heat, references the pressures placed on women’s bodies to conform, compress, and perform. Drawings based on photographs taken by a former partner introduce a voyeuristic dimension, implicating the male gaze and examining the uneasy boundary between intimacy, authorship, and control. The series confronts how desire, scrutiny, and objectification are internalized, asking where agency exists when the body is both subject and spectacle.

ADOLESCENT BAPTISM
CDs, epoxy resin, oil, water, white garments, 2025
Adolescent Baptism is a sculptural performance that examines purity culture, media saturation, and adolescent identity through embodied ritual. Melted CDs and epoxy resin reference digital excess and distortion, producing luminous, fractured surfaces that mirror the instability of belief and selfhood. The performance incorporates acts of bodily cleansing and extraction, including spitting and manipulating oil and water. These materials, traditionally associated with purification and anointing, cannot fully merge and repeatedly separate despite agitation. Rather than dissolving shame, the ritual exposes its persistence, leaving residue in the mouth, on the body, and within the space. Rooted in the artist’s Mormon upbringing, the work frames purification as spectacle: an action that promises clarity but instead produces fracture, contradiction, and unresolved tension. The body becomes both participant and site of failure, where separation, rather than absolution, is continually re-enacted.
